Rome, 16th September 2024
The fourth edition of the Young Applied Mathematicians Conference (YAMC) starts today in Rome, an event dedicated to young researchers in the field of applied mathematics, which will run until 20th September. The conference brings together PhD students, postdocs, and master’s students from Italian and international universities. It is co-funded by SISSA and the iNEST Consortium through the Young Researchers project, coordinated by Federico Pichi, and co-organized by Giuseppe Alessio D’Inverno—both SISSA researchers active in Spoke 9.
The conference will address key topics in applied mathematics, such as numerical modeling, machine learning, and statistical analysis. These subjects are of particular interest to iNEST Spoke 9, led by SISSA. Over the five days, participants will have the opportunity to present their research work and take part in introductory courses on general topics, with parallel sessions ensuring that everyone can actively contribute.
