Digital Twins: mathematics for innovation
Nowadays, a transformative process is underway for industry that optimizes processes and minimizes resource waste: digitalization. This is one of the pillars of the iNEST—Interconnected Nord-Est Innovation Ecosystem—Consortium, enabling industries in Northeastern Italy to establish themselves as efficiency models and innovation drivers.
At the forefront of this digital revolution stands the visionary concept of the Digital Twin (DT), a virtual replica of a real-world product or process. iNEST Spoke 9 dedicates its research efforts to developing Digital Twins and applying them across diverse fields, utilizing advanced mathematical and numerical modeling tools.
Leader and Partners
Thanks to their research activities, the Spoke 9 Leader and Partners will contribute to creating Digital Twins that are increasingly accurate and faithful to their real counterparts.
Research Topics
The research activities of Spoke 9 are articulated into four Research Topics (RTs), designed to tackle the forefront challenges in the fields of mathematical and numerical models, scientific computing, and Digital Twins.
Cross-Cutting Activities
iNEST vision of innovation and sustainability finds tangible expression through the Cross-Cutting Activities (CCs), which fuel the transformative power of technologies developed within Spoke 9.
